A practical checklist for verifying employers, contracts, recruitment channels, and costs before you commit.
A genuine overseas opportunity should be clear, verifiable, and documented. Slow down when an offer creates urgency or asks you to trust promises that do not appear in writing.
Verify who is recruiting
Confirm the employer and recruitment agency names, registration details, office address, official phone numbers, and website. Communicate through traceable channels and compare the information across multiple sources.
Read the complete job offer
The role, destination, workplace, salary, overtime, hours, accommodation, food, transport, insurance, airfare, leave, and contract period should be stated clearly. Ask for corrections before signing if anything is missing or different from what you were told.
Question unofficial payments
Request a written breakdown and receipt for every legitimate fee. Never send money to a personal account merely to reserve an interview or guarantee selection.
Protect your original documents
Share only what is necessary during early screening. Keep copies of everything and do not surrender original identity documents without understanding why, for how long, and who is responsible for them.
